BPSC & Bihar Exams

Choose your exam to get its syllabus, notes, previous year papers and quizzes.

Which Bihar exam is right for you?

Bihar offers several government recruitment routes, and each one asks for a different preparation style. Use this short guide to pick a direction before you buy books or join a test series.

BPSC combined competitive examination (Prelims, Mains and Interview)

This is the path to senior state services. It has three stages: an objective Prelims screening test, a descriptive Mains examination and a final interview. It rewards deep reading, writing practice and current affairs, so plan for at least six to twelve months.

BPSC TRE (teacher recruitment)

The teacher recruitment exam is subject-focused. Along with your subject, you prepare child pedagogy, general knowledge and language. Eligibility depends on the level you apply for, so read the notification carefully.

Bihar ASO, SI and Police exams

The ASO, SI and Police exams are usually shorter and more objective. Speed in maths, reasoning and general awareness matters most, so practise with timed quizzes and previous year papers.

A simple preparation timeline

  • Months 1–2: read the syllabus, finish basic NCERT concepts and start a daily newspaper habit.
  • Months 3–4: go subject by subject with notes and start weekly tests.
  • Months 5–6: solve PYQs, take full-length mocks and revise your weak areas twice.

Frequently asked questions

Can I prepare for more than one Bihar exam together?

Yes. General studies, Bihar GK, maths and reasoning are common across most exams, so one solid base serves several targets.
