Percentage Calculator

Find X% of a number, what percent one number is of another, and percentage increase or decrease.

How to use the percentage calculator

Use any of the three boxes. The first finds a percentage of a number (15% of 240 = 36). The second tells what percent one number is of another (30 is 25% of 120). The third gives the percentage increase or decrease between an old and a new value.

Formulas

  • Percentage of a number = (X ÷ 100) × Y
  • X as a percent of Y = (X ÷ Y) × 100
  • Percentage change = ((New − Old) ÷ Old) × 100
